Sourced from vines planted in 1960s in heavy loamy soil and hand-picked in early October, the grapes are crushed then fermented in huge old oak barrels, giving ripe peach, smokiness, crushed stone on the nose. Spiced and refreshing on the palate at 6.5g/l of acidity. Grapefruit zest and apricot lingers on. Deutschkreutz is the name of the village.
