A steep-sloped single vineyard site surrounded by 12th century dry stone walls, Achleiten is one of the most highly regarded sites in the village of Weissenkirchen. The wine has a focussed citrus and beeswax nose, with a broad-shouldered palate showing a pronounced, fine spiciness in front of apricot, citrus and honey notes. The supple, racy acidity balances the fruit perfectly.
