Winzer Krems is a large cooperative producing wines from almost 1,000 hectares in Kremstal and Kamptal. It maintains stocks of older vintages for sale, including some from its most prized vineyard, Kremser Sandgrube. This Auslese has only 20 grams of residual sugar, and tastes off-dry rather than sweet. Now a full gold-straw in colour, it shows aromas of dried apricots. It still has an appealing texture and quite good acidity, but it is now fading. Long, soft finish.
