If you usually reach for New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, give Chile a try instead. It's a bit of a generalisation, of course, but good examples from Casablanca Valley, which is a cooler, coastal part of Chile, often display more grassy and herbaceous, green pepper characteristics than some of the pungent gooseberry and tropical wines that come out of Marlborough. You'll find that here, some grassy, green pepper and snow pea freshness, clean and juicy.
