I regularly recommend this cracking-value Chilean red to friends. Made for Tesco by Luís Felipe Edwards winery from Colchagua fruit, it's Merlot with 15% Syrah in the blend. What I like about this wine, which has seen eight months in French and American oak, is that there's an attractive tomato-leaf savouriness to it, along with soft earthy, coffee notes from the oak, and dark, slightly stalky berry fruit. Easy to enjoy.
