Ana María Cumsille is a long-time champion of the old vines of southern Chile and her grower series is one that really helps to put the small vineyard growers of the region on the map. Coming from granitic coastal hills in Itata, this wine’s label proudly announces the name of the grower, being Adrian Torres, whose 200-year-old vines make for some lipsmacking wine. Lifted notes of lavender and sage mingle with fresh forest fruits and powdery tannins, with a lively, leafy finish. It’s old-vine País at its best.
