Dry-farmed, ungrafted Cinsault grown on granitic soils delivers this complex, detailed wine of broody eartiness married with elegant florality. Aged for 11 months in a combination of concrete (80%), clay (12%) and French oak barrels (8%). Green olive tapenade, smoked bacon, ripe plum, fig leaves and petrichor are topped with notes of violets and wild oregano. Lovely acid lift throughout. Moreish quality to the tannins which leave a juicy trail of smoked bacon and pomegranate. Super long finish with a long tail of forest floor, Kalamata olives and fried sage.
