Tasted blind. Immediately this is different to most Cinsaults even by the colour - the nose confirms it's strongly oak influenced. Quite mature too. The fruit is a little raisined. Has an upswell of power on the finish, the alcohol is quite raised. Savoury nose, sweet raspberry fruit. Salty finish. quite long. This has old-school character, like a wing-backed leather armchair.
