José Luis Gómez Bastías is the fifth generation of his family to make wine from around 4.5ha of centenarian vines on the south bank of the Maule river. After traditional fermentation in pipas, this País spends 12 months in old oak, bringing a subtle spiciness to País' classic earthy tones and bright red and black fruits. Concentrated in fruit but easy to drink thanks to its refreshing acidity.
