This elegant Pinot Noir has chiselled tannins holding the nuanced redcurrant, cranberry and red cherry fruit. 20% of the wine aged for 15 months in large glass demijohns, the remainder in third-use French oak barrels – a smart combination that lends the wine softness and assertiveness. A veil of thyme, violets and oregano, sprinkled with white and pink pepper, cloaks the fruit and lingers on the subtle but long finish. Deep, smoky notes of hazelnut shell and tobacco.
