A 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the sun-baked Helan Mountain Foothills of Ningxia, northwest China. Aged in 100% new French barriques (medium toast) for 24 months. A mesmerising nose with layers of blackcurrant, tomato leaves, pu-erh tea, dates, prunes and crushed minerals. A fantastically silky texture on the palate; brooding dark berries are seasoned with dark spices, star anise and bitter dark chocolate, lifted by a solid streak of acidity. A powerhouse wine that carries great depth, almost heady ripeness and concentration, yet retains sufficient freshness, leading to a warm finish of dark berries.
