I visited this estate in Ningxia, China, a year or so ago, so I’m happy to see this in the line up. Its French wine consultant, Marc Dworkin was also at the tasting. This has a smooth mouthfeel with an expanding mid-palate that carries weight through to the end, together with a smooth and silky texture. The flavours are not particularly developed, with subtle citrus and white pepper spice. The texture takes precedence to flavour. Aged in 50% acacia and 50% oak for six months, on the lees with stirring.
