The nose is elegant, seductive with an array of citrus fruits and nuts, sweet nectar and some pine forest honey too. This is the Morokanella grape, only 15ha are found in Cyprus, and the world, but that’s not the only reason to try this. The palate is rich with peaches, oranges, marmalade and dried apricots, but there’s a real zing to it, zesty and refreshing, and the finish is memorable, concentrated and long. It’s cold macerated for a short while, then fermented in stainless steel vats, following 6 months on the lees. This vintage only saw 650 bottles produced, get your hands on it whilst you can.
