How has Aldi got a Chardonnay of this quality for under £5? Sure, it's a lowly Vin de France, made from a blend of undisclosed vintages, but its flavours of stone and tropical fruit plus soft citrus acidity are smooth and satisfying. One for a simple midweek mac and cheese.
