This year showed all the signs of being another torrid vintage comparable to 2003, but a cooler August slowed down the ripening process. Even so, the harvest began early. This wine has a generous nose with lush lime aromas and a touch of honey - very ripe but not over-ripe. It's broad and spicy in the mouth with upfront fruit, and although it seems forward, it has a bracing acidity that suggests it will keep well. Seems slightly less nuanced than the two subsequent vintages at present, but it's elegant and long.
