Schoffit is the other major owner of volcanic Rangen, where their parcel is called Clos St Théobald. The Schoffit style can sometimes be overly voluptuous, but this youthful vintage shows some restraint. Nonetheless, the nose is ripe and lush, with mandarin and stone fruit aromas. On the palate it's assertive and very concentrated, fiery and tight, with a dry aftertaste and a long, saline finish.
