A selected parcel of 50-year-old Merlot (1ha), aged 15 months in barrel. Super-ripe fruit shouts out of the glass on the nose. Concentrated on the palate with jammy, rather than fresh, fruit to the fore. Will appeal to lovers of fleshy, deep, intense red-wines, with the fruit taking the driving seat and fresher, more elegant characters, much less evident. Very grippy tannins to finish.
