One of a pair of clarets from the excellent 2019 vintage in the current Co-op line-up, this Cru Bourgeois doesn’t have quite the same class or intensity as the Château Beau-Site – yet it remains a very enjoyable, Christmas- or roast-ready red, with ripe, high-toned cassis-and-blueberry fruit, some deftly managed oak and plenty of freshness on the finish.
