Château Callac, Cuvée Prestige, Graves, Bordeaux, 2022

Quite an expressive nose; caramel, lemon, toasted aromas - smells full. Sharp and lemony, but loses some impact fairly quickly. Has an initial burst of lemon and lime, pear and green apple with a shot of acidity but the chalky, flint coolness comes through and focuses the finish and overtakes some of the fruit and zing. Harvest 24 - 26 August. Aged six months. In organic conversion. Derenoncourt consultants.
