There is a lovely opulence and concentration here, although this wine is fully mature. Emanating from the era that produced the world beating 1989 and 1990 as well as the overperforming 1991 and 1992, this is a beautiful if slightly inferior old Clinet. There is a touch of astringency creeping through on the finish but is aided greatly by the opulent style of this wonderful Pomerol château. A very good 1993 and a delicious mature example.
