Lovely floral expression, violet and iris, blackcurrants and black cherries with plum tones too, but cool and fresh. Round and full, his has a lovely frame and structure, giving a ton of fruit density, with super plush, almost chewy, fine and firm and grippy tannins that are really quite enjoyable. Liquorice and dark chocolate. Lots of freshness and cool touches. Really holds the interest, strict, a touch severe and serious but still lots to like.  2% Cabernet Franc completes the blend. 3.75 total acidity. 3.71pH. 88 IPT. Harvest 14 - 27 September. Tasted twice. The estate was bought by Château Cos d'Estournel as of late 2022.
