After tasting this barrel sample on three occasions, including with owner Jacques Lurton, I am convinced of the excellent quality from this 100% Sauvignon Blanc, as it evinces aromas and flavours of ripe pear, wet stone, chamomile, red apple, and lemon leading to a long finish. The wine shows impressive dry extract and depth, the 14% alcohol reflecting full ripeness. Although the harvest was entirely in August, it was not too early for fear of losing acidity, which resulting in some underripe or aggressive white wines in 2025, but not here. ageing includes 400–litre amphorae for added freshness, while lees stirring accentuates palate breadth. Healthy yields of 32 hl/ha.
