Ripe, sun-kissed bramble fruit on the nose and palate, this has flesh but is lifted by the crunchy strawberry acidity which makes this lighter on its feet than it could have been. There’s still edges of liquorice and toast that give some idea of the alcohol and oak but it’ll integrate with time. It’s ripe but I feel like there’s been a soft hand in the winery. Nice work even if the ABV might put you off.
