Perfumed on the nose and palate here, the sweet and bright red fruits - from the Merlot - really have a touch of rose and violet to them on the palate, the florality continuing and persisting with softly mouthwatering acidity. I like the energy here and the high-toned nature of the fruit, it's lightly framed, more searing and straight as opposed to weighty but great for easy drinking. A distinct clove spice aspect on the finish which just closes down some enjoyment at the moment but gives a nice angle to the fruit.
