Light red cherry and floral aromas emanate from the glass suggesting a light bodied wine. The attack is straightforward leading to a somewhat austere mid palate that will need time to soften overall. The 70% new oak is integrated well enough but I cannot shake the heightened austerity overall, so a bit of a question mark for now.
