This is the Margaux expression of Malleret's main Haut-Médoc estate, like L'Aura de Cambon from Cambon la Pelouse. On the nose and attack the fruit is a fairly high-toned redcurrant but with layers of patisserie cream to temper the acidity. As the palate opens up, that translates to a fairly oak-dominant wine. I can see where they are going and there's definitely plenty to enjoy here. Good freshness, although it's a little sweet.
