Focused and driven, this is still quite tightly coiled with fine tannins wrapping ripe purple and black fruits that have fragrance but also a touch of liqueur / alcohol to them alongside heat / spice from oak ageing. Still very much closed and youthful at this point, not giving too much away though there is nice clarity overall and the texture is really smooth. Some chalky dryness on the finish.
