A slight tannic rusticity, but this is confident, with a typically Gazin sense of freshness and integrity. Thereâ€™s also nice lift in the fruit, and the rich power of a Pomerol with plums, damsons and cedary oak. I noted a slightly austere edge but the body of this wine is starting to open up and there remains clear potential ahead.
