The colour is red with brick at the rim. The bouquet is attractively mature with cedar, tobacco and forest floor notes. It clearly shows more intensity on the palate than the 1995 tasted previously and there's even more vibrancy and freshness. It's clearly at a drinking age but there's still some reserve as well.
