Thick and full on the palate, tannins are ripe and fleshy, really filling the mouth, gripping from the start with a chalky, cool blue fruit, liquorice and slate edge. Mouthwatering acidity provides the counterpoint to the bold and tense tannic structure. Stops a little short, somewhat coiled and restricted by the finish with a spiced lingering taste.
