As ever with Connivence, this is a powerful blackberry- and raspberry-filled wine with silky tannins and tons of liquorice and dark chocolate notes. The blend has evolved from 100% Merlot when they first bought the 1.2ha of Pomerol vines, following planting of Cabernet Franc in 2008. 

This is the second vintage to include massal-selection fruit from La Gaffelière, and it provides a welcome note of restraint.
