From the team behind La Gaffeliere in St Emilion, this estate has slimmed down its approach a little in recent years, still with plenty of Pomerol swagger but less dominated by oak than it was in the early years. A lovely choice in 2019 for an enticing, extremely drinkable Pomerol with sweet black fruits and firm but fresh tannin and acidity. Those tannins build through the palate in fact, and by the end you get a block of chocolate and liquorice suggesting it will age well and deepen in its expression.
