Lovely floral scents join really quite ripe and potent fruit aromatics. Fleshy, ripe tannins make the immediate impression with high-toned, almost sour red berry fruit that creates some imbalance in terms of overall harmony. Full and massy, this is on the more plush and heady end of the scale and is lacking a touch more finesse. But there's plenty of punch with a dusting of chalky minerality on the finish. Ends clean and fresh so give this some time before opening. I'd like to try it again in a few years. Newly classified as of 2022.
