Clear concentration from the first nose. The low yields (16hl/ha at this estate) needed extremely careful extraction to manage the tannins, and there are pulses of black pepper and rosemary spice throughout the palate, but the fruit is tight and underplayed, and this is a little short on the finish overall. 60% barrel, 40% concrete eggs. A yield of 16hl/ha after issues during flowering.
