Temperature controlled vats arrived in time for the 2008 vintage, and coincidentally or not this is a very good wine. Freshness and classicism is on display, with firm berry flavours and a confident tannic hold that does a good job of supporting the fruit. This was the first vintage where Marc Pagès was working without his grandfather. He began to focus more seriously on working in a reductive environment, choosing his coopers carefully, while in the vineyard they concentrated on the needs of individual plots - as well as increasing the size of the vineyard through the purchase of other vines.
