Smoked earth, leather and caramel notes on the nose alongside blackcurrant and plum. Chewy and ripe, tannins are present and mouth filling but they have a lovely saline kick to them, laced with a salty chalkiness that is really appealing. Wood spice provides the support to the fruit and this is well presented. Needs time to fill out the mid-palate with the elements at the start and finish most prominent.
