Bruised strawberries, raspberries and some red cherry aromas with soft herbal and spiced notes. Quite tannic but also fleshy and juicy with a cooling freshness - a little compact and tight right now, not so charming but great purity and finesse of the tannins. Definitely has something - an evocative sense with a dollop of sweet strawberry then lots of liquorice, slate and toast.  Clean and well made. Ageing 15% new oak. 3.51pH.
