A touch of balsamic on the nose with fresh blueberries and fragrant perfumed aromas. Juicy and lively with supple tannins – super soft with a touch of crushed stones just giving a gentle grip while the Cabernet minty freshness pushes things forward. Dark, serious, well constructed with some firm aspects and a long liquorice and cedar finish. Mouthwatering, clear and juicy with a lovely classic freshness, grip and control. Feels serious and well made with great balance. The team started early on 30 August for one Merlot plot, beginning the main harvest on Monday 1 September (second earliest since 1893). A yield of 25.6hl/ha. 5.3% press wine. 68 IPT. 24.% production.
