Vanilla, soft milk chocolate, blackcurrants, bramble fruit, some gentle perfumed aromatics. Smells richly scented, but fresh too. Succulent and mouthwatering, a real mineral salty tang hits the palate with soft powdery tannins with liquorice and bitter dark chocolate that so nicely counters the concentrated and creamy dark fruits. Leaves a clean, mineral salt flavour on the finish. Feels well constructed, supple and so easy to like, still with balance. Ageing 14 months, 30% new oak.
