This underlying terroir imprint brings a sense of tension and clarity that lifts the wine beyond simple richness. Towards the finish, foreboding tannins make their presence felt, gently clamping down without turning hard, suggesting a structure well suited for aging. A compelling example of a vintage that rewards patience in the cellar and easily among the standout wines of Fronsac, one that confidently rivals top Grand Cru Classé from St-Émilion. Ageing 12 months in 27% new oak.
