Perfumed, dried flower aromas on the nose with cool blue fruit and liquorice aspects. Juicy and bright, quite brisk acidity to begin, with a gravelly, wet stone, saline aspect to the finish. Nicely lifted and clean with a focus from start to finish. Salivating, crisp and well balanced with the focus on the fruitiness and then minerality of black pepper, liquorice, clove and flint at the end. Lots to like and a nice entry point before the grand vin. A yield of 38hl/ha.
