Still young, this has not fully opened up and softened, but the brambly fruits are attractively layered with slate and tar, and you can almost feel the tannins limbering up against your teeth. It suggests there's plenty of life ahead, and needs another few years in bottle before being ready to drink. Not generous, but confident and has great promise.
