An unusual 100% Merlot wine (one of two in this lineup), you'll find only a handful of these in the whole of the Médoc. It takes time to warm up and open itself in the glass. It eventually reveals soft and brambly bilberry and raspberry fruits, with the clear beginnings of undergrowth, leather and tobacco notes. It whispers rather than shouts, and is not hugely concentrated. Best to enjoy it now and over next five years.
