Still deeply coloured from core to rim, this is equally impressive on the expressive nose with blackcurrant, clove and cocoa powder. The palate is full, ripe, rich and round with intense sweet black fruit, liquorice and mocha. Structurally this is very sensual with soft acidity, quite full alcohol and supple, generous tannins. A very complete ’09 which is not overdone and yet remains true to the vintage and its terroir.
