Bright, a touch of sherbet, orange rind, milk chocolate, raspberry and cranberry. Super fresh and vibrant. Clean and chiselled this is well built with freshness and crispness. It starts off well but builds to a chalky mid palate that stops and tightens and tapers a little. Really fresh, cool mint, clove, liquorice. A touch tense on the finish, but there’s detail and such precision. You can feel the Cabernet Franc playing its part. Well built for sure, less approachable than some, but it has a good outline. A serious second wine. Ageing 50% new oak, 50% one-year-old barrels. A yield of 22.24hl/ha. 3.55pH.
