Dark fruit and dried herbs on the nose with fragrant red floral scents too. Smooth and supple, clean and lively, a lovely texture to this which combines fine tannins with mouthwatering acidity and a chalky, stony element that lingers on the tongue giving some density to the expression. Quite metallic and mineral, it sticks out more than the fruit which takes a backseat right now and there's some bitter, savoury touches towards the finish - dry tobacco, slate, cedar and mint. Unfussy, easy to drink with nuance and flavour. Nothing too out of place but not that exciting.
