Bold and intense on the nose with dark chocolate, ripe blackcurrants and some rustic vanilla and clove touches. Lighter on the palate than expected with a soft juiciness and bright strawberry and red cherry fruit flavour. Perhaps missing a touch of energy and depth on the mid-palate at this point but lovely overall freshness with a spiced element dominating the finish.
