Black chocolate, cloves, pepper spice, roses and blackcurrants on the nose. Quite dark and savoury with a liquorice twist that marks the palate the whole way through, underpinning the strawberry and red cherry fruit flavours. Feels a little sombre at this point and a bit marked by toasty aromas but there is fruit there underneath. Coffee beans and clove spice add nuance to the bright acidity but this feels a little disjointed and a bit sharp and bitter. Fans of coffee edged fruit and slightly more savoury aspects will like this.
