Appealing, forward and juicy perfume with red/black fruits and spice notes. Drinking well with dark cherry and damson flavours coming through. Subtle and well-integrated oak. Nice maturity now but still has plenty of life left. Juicy and vibrant finish. Located on the clay-limestone plateau at 100m. Thin topsoil, over limestone and deep layer of clay. Average vine age of 40 years, 5,500 vines/ha. Indigenous yeasts, 10% new oak, 25% one-year old. 37,800 bottles produced.
