Creamy dark fruit aromas on the nose. Velvety and rich but not heavy, this has both a fleshy tannin edge but a cool, fresh fruit purity so you get both texture and push. A little bit tannic still, a bit compact on the finish, so needs time to settle but it’s not overdone and has a lovely cool, saline aspect too. Full and filling. Stony, liquorice, tobacco, cedar. Ageing 19 months, concrete vats, oak barrels.
